Hai now i am moving with types as said before.
- plane geometry
- solid geometry
i will try to explain in my own words.
first we will start with plane geometry.
what is plane geometry?
plane geometry is nothing but study of two dimensional objects.
they are about flat shapes nothing but squares, rectangles, circles, all quadrilaterals.
to say in simple, the shapes that can be drawn on a piece of paper that is flat surfaces.
when we start with first i.e with point, then
point has no dimension because it is only a position, an indication.
line is of course a one dimensional figure then comes what i have taken i.e
a two dimensional figure because it has two dimensions length and breadth.
what makes solid geometry differ from plane geometry is they are three dimensional figures.
plane geometry has three types. they are
- three sided figures i.e triangles.
- four sided figures i.e quadrilaterals.
- more than four sided figures i.e polygons.
today we will discuss on types of triangles.
then triangles can be classified in two ways.
one based on sides and another on angles.
first on sides
- equilateral triangle having three equal sides.
- isosceles triangle having two equal sides
- scalene triangle having no equal sides.
- acute triangle i.e angles <90 degree
- right triangle = 90 degree
- obtuse triangles >90 degrees.
